Research Training in Timor-Leste
The Timor-Leste Research Program periodically engages with research training and strategy development in Timor-Leste. This can be provided as a stand-alone set of modules that is tailored to a particular organisation, or integrated as part of a research project where local organisations see a benefit in extending the research skills of staff. Thus far training has been provided to NGOs (i.e. JSMP), Government (SEPI), to community members (as part of the Nation-Building Conference) and integrated into complex projects (The Impacts of Gender Programming), or on behalf of organisations (Asia Foundation on 'Research Use and Uptake in Timor-Leste). However managed, the training is provided by a team of experienced researchers with long-term engagement and knowledge of Timor-Leste and the research context.
