Research Uptake Workshop in Timor-Leste.
The Asia Foundation (TAF) works in Timor-Leste with the objective to develop research skills through Higher Education institutions, civil society and government. In July 2013, TAF held a two-day workshop to bring together East Timorese civil society activists, policy makers and academics to generate knowledge and discuss strategies relating to the challenges and opportunities for using research in the development of policy. The workshop was run by RMIT University's Centre for Global Research, and focused particularly on the post-analysis phase of the research process and the dissemination process in an East Timorese context. A follow up workshop was also held in 2015 at TAF in Dili.
